What we do.

We have two ways of making change happen.

(1) Expanding the capacity of individual survivors to lead, to tell their stories, to facilitate, to advocate, to mentor, to connect, and to do anything else that helps them grown and thrive.

(2) Helping change the systems and culture that affect survivors through:

  1. Community education

  2. Legislative advocacy

  3. Working with allied organizations to improve policies and practices so they are survivor-centric, trauma informed, and culturally relevant

  • Rise up and speak.

Let Your Voice Be Heard! Your story deserves to be told. When you participate in our free Rise Up and Speak training, you’ll finish the sessions equipped with tools to share your survivor story YOUR way.

  • Rise up and meet.

A safe space for all survivors to have community! These events are an opportunity to "Rise Up and Meet" in a welcoming gathering place for survivors of all races, ethnicities, and genders.

  • Rise up in community.

A series of deliberative dialogues—creating compassionate community to support survivors of abuse and trauma, foster understanding, and nurture environments survivors need to heal and thrive.
